Mister Blue Sky, blue sky, blue sky

It struck me recently how this place has come full circle. Back in the pre-Twitter days, this was the place to come and talk about everything under the sun with people you got to know in a uniquely organic way. Then Twitter arrived and offered an even more instantaneous and communal experience. Now Twitter is a cesspool and Bluesky is depressing as ship, but I can come here and read what I want to read and interact w/familiar and mostly friendly people (except @Cosmo, that Tom Wilson-loving punk :D).

Spencer Hall and a lot of the folks from the EDSBS zeitgeist are on there, so that was a big win for the second half of college football. College hoops has been a little more scattershot but I'm working on it. Would like to see a more robust selection of random snarky people from my state.
Good to know. I'll track them down.
As it stands now, my feed is nonstop Mina Kimes and Bum Chillups. Is the Super 70s Sports guy on it?

His Twitter feed is almost all reruns and ads for his merch now. It's fallen to a promo for the show. Too bad.

Wow I didn't know any of that about the 70s guy. I feel both dirty and disappointed.

I have a rule: Always beware of overly nostalgic people.

Depends on what you're being nostalgic for. If you're nostalgic for the clothes or music you wore as a teen, that's harmless. If you're nostalgic for "the good old days when people weren't so easily offended," you're probably a racist or homophobe that got away with telling racist or homophobic jokes back then.
