NFL Conference Championship Sunday

Late thought on the key fourth-down play:
Allen goes over his left guard, so the ref at the bottom of the screen had the better view than the ref at the top of the screen. That said, I thought Allen made it and the Bills got a horrible spot.

But his body and the ball were facing the official at the top of the screen, who clearly was marking the forward progress on the 39-yard-line side of the 40 as he ran toward the pile, which would have easily been a first down.

Whatever, great game, but when you are playing the Chiefs, everyone knows you have to leave no doubt.

For the first time in my life I'm not sure I give two craps about the Super Bowl.

I can't believe that team keeps winning like this. Seventeen straight one possession games? That's a freaking coin flip.

Where is their contract with the dark side?

These two teams played each other two years ago. Have they worn you out that much since then?

While I do get the Chiefs fatigue, try to remember that this franchise went 50 years between championships and endured a lot of nut punches along the way. Same with the Eagles. Maybe it's because I like both teams — the Eagles are my team, and the Chiefs have always been a bit of an AFC girlfriend — but they just don't grate on me the way other dynasties did.

I don't mind the Eagles, but as a Broncos fan I'm just done with the Chiefs. And it's made worse by then winning all these crazy close games. I just don't like them. In any way. Although I will respect what they have accomplished. On the other hand I'm weird and actually never totally minded the Patriots one way or the other.

Also, I feel really bad for the Bills.

I'm not @Roscablo (I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night though), but I'm worn out by these teams. Sirriani seems to be the knuckle-dragger to end all knuckle-dragging HCs and Hurts seems to be a cyborg. And the Chiefs, as noted ad nauseam, get all the calls and then some. I do agree I'd rather see the Chiefs going for the three-peat than the Brady-era Pats or Jerrah's Cowboys, and it is kinda neat to see a three-peat possibility that we all thought we'd never see because of parity. But the salary cap didn't provide that did it?! :D
