NFL Week 12 -- I Wish Turkey Only Cost A Nickel

Were the early games really that awful? I know the laundry and records coming in say they were, but you had five of six games decided by one score and one last-second doink that prevented a game from going to OT to decide first place in a division.

If people were really more entertained by Thursday's and Friday's fare . . .

The Panthers were one of those teams. That should answer your question.

Speaking of the Panthers ...

If Scott Fitterer is still employed, David Tepper is really messing up.

Still many weeks to go but if the playoffs started today the Jags would be the top seed.

I was going to make a post saying Carolina feels like one of those places that's going to have a revolving door on the coaches' office, except it already is.

In the last 18 months, David Tepper has fired four coaches. Two for MLS' Charlotte FC - which he also oversees - and two with the Carolina Panthers.

Not to mention that not only were the firings of Frank Reich and Matt Rhule done during the season, but also the one above not listed - Ron Rivera - was also done in-season.

Yet Scott Fitterer still has a job. Weird.

But nah ... Tepper isn't the problem. No way ...

You might be right. I blame being half asleep while listening to the CBS talking heads.
They were the 1 seed until the Ravens won last night, so that might have been on your brain. Baltimore finally has its bye next week so we could conceivably have a four-way tie at 9-3 if the Chiefs, Jags and Dolphins all win next week.
