NFL Week 3 -- Winding your way down on Baker Street

Worth noting that the Bears lost 21-16 today and this was the last play of the first half. Whether they should have gotten to try it or not is another story. They got a very generous ruling on a spike.

That was a hell of a heads-up play by the defenders to stuff Moore short of the end zone. That was two near touchdowns on Hail Mary throws yesterday. Justin Herbert threw one right before halftime in Pittsburgh that should have been caught in the end zone.

I just finished watching it and the Niners look like the clashic overrated team, especially on D.

Purdy played fantastic. I understand a young player dropping one ball but Bell looks like he doesn't even know how to catch a ball, his hands are completely off.

But I'm most disappointed in the D, through 3 games, they look like they can't make a key play when needed. Of course making penalties instead of playing sound D is worse. Their D Line got whipped all day, especially in the middle, Hargrave and Collins could not shed a block on a running play. Add in awful special teams plays (beat on fake punt, beat on punt return).

I very much enjoyed the ride up the elevator to the near peak; thank you Niners but you've got to show more grit and less champagne slaps. (Is there anyway to get another Justin Smith??, that guy's grit is what is needed).

They also lost Hargrave for at least the entire regular season to a pec injury that will require surgery. Ouch.

Chargers' James suspended 1 game for illegal hits

The Chiefs get another break. They will face the Chargers without Derwin James, who was suspended for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Pat Freiermuth yesterday. It didn't look like much at the time, but he did lower his head to deliver the blow and he has a history of doing it, so he gets the one-game rip.

Trevor Lawrence is a rich man's Blaine Gabbert.
The people in Dumbval couldn't afford to see that size 9 in another helmet, so they had to pay him all the money.
Suckers.
They'll be back to complete irrelevance in fairly short order.
