Skylar Thompson is allegedly one of the 60 best quarterbacks in the world, good enough to hold an NFL roster spot. Can he not throw it 50 yards in the air to get it to the end zone on a hail mary?
This was an untimed down at the end of the first half. The play before, the Seahawks rushed ONE defender who was comically getting bounced around by the entire Dolphins offensive line, and instead of letting it fly Thompson checked down to a 15ish-yard route, apparently after getting bored. There was a penalty on the Seahawks that led to this play.
One of the things I don't get, is with the training, academies, 7-on-7 games, off-season workouts and what not, that it's so hard to find a capable backup QB. I'm not expecting everyone to be Pat Mahomes, someone who can make a throw and can move the offense from time-to-time.
