NFL Week 4 -- darn, even Rock Reed scored against the Lions

Mac was pretty good last night and matched God tit for tat.
It wasn't a night for explosive plays. Thing is, Brady had an average game for any NFL QB, let alone him, while Jones had an outstanding night for a rookie, but Brady's team still won. Jones has been all or more than the Pats could've expected so far and they're still averaging 17.8 points game. It's not his fault, but Jones is leading what so far is a very weak offense, especially once it crosses the 50.

I thought Jones was perfectly fine. With the receiver talent on the team though, I don't think we'll know if he's being forced into checkdowns because of personnel, or because of his own tendencies, until the future.

Also befuddled with the Bucs going for deep shots late. New England had one timeout left. Two cracks at first down. Get that and then run the clock down.

So much time mismanagement.

Would love to hear what was said amongst the coaches after the first miss to AB, that the next play would be the exact same.

First one was all on AB, lost it in the poor visibility after he got quite open. Second one Brady was a fraction too long with the throw. So I imagine the coaches had some thought like "Wow was AB open there."

Lightning, and rain, in L.A. on a night the old San Diego Chargers play in their new home as the L.A. Chargers?
