NFL Week 4 -- darn, even Rock Reed scored against the Lions

It's only one half. Actually, 4 1/2 games this season. But I have no idea why NBC wants to push out Uncle Al after this season for the meh Mike Tirico. Unless it's age. But Al still brings a pretty good fastball and a huge-game feel like tonight. This isn't Uncle Verne territory where the end was pretty obvious. Not the case with Al.

Al still brings it.

Denver's loss is okay. He's still Teddy Covers.

In that weather, with a kicker who was questionable all week AND 59 seconds still on the clock, you gotta get closer and burn more time.

Lots of puzzling decisions.

It was 4th and 3. Just pick it up, get closer and kick with :03.

You have to believe Belichick still doesn't have quite enough faith in Jones to put the one win-or-lose play in his hands. So he put it on Folk's foot. It's kind of a bad sign when any coach thinks the top playmaker on his offense is the placekicker.

He completed 18 straight pashes in a steady rain in his fourth start.

I can't believe I'm defending a Patriot, either. It was really weird watching that team and hoping for them to win.
Something I hadn't done since I had long hair and gambled on football in the Bill Clinton 1990s.

Jones' longest pash completed was 21 yards. Competent quarterbacks can dink and dunk. He was pashing against DBs who weren't even on a team in week one. He was fine last night. Brilliant is silly.

I'm on to Week 5, don't give a ship.
The guy played very well, use whatever descriptor you like.
No rookie in the league completed that many pashes in a row in 30 years.
