NFL Wild Card Weekend -- Nazareth, live from Philadelphia

With the advent of digital tickets, it is so much easier for fans of teams to "take over" a stadium.

Hot take: This terrible season excepted, I think that the San Francisco 49ers fans travel better than any other team in the NFL, surpashing long time stalwarts Steelers and Packers. Eagles fans up there too.
Bills Mafia is everywhere at Buffalo road games.

The thing that Pittsburghers don't want to admit is that they don't all "travel" to these road games. A lot of these people are displaced Yinzers who left town 30-40 years ago when the mills closed and now live in Charlotte, Houston, Phoenix, etc. The only far away destination they probably truly all travel to is Las Vegas for obvious reasons.

Yes, I wasn't clear enough.

There is a reason northern/rust belt cities always "invade" Miami/LA. Because millions of rust belters have gotten the fork out of dodge.

Well, duh. No NFL team's fans actually travel en mashe. But the Steelers, Packers, Browns, etc., have a large contingent of fans nationwide who fill up their local team's stadium when their favorite team comes to play.

Some, but not everyone from Pittsburgh is a Yinzer. Whether or not we are all morons is a subjective argument I will leave to others.
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I present exhibit A.

I'm so sorry. It was too easy.

Zay Flowers is officially out for the Ravens Saturday. The Steelers might be without right guard Mason McCormick, who has a broken hand. If McCormick can't go, Fourth-stringer Spencer Anderson will make his fourth start of the season. Not great for a line that isn't very good in the first place, but not as impactful as losing Flowers might be for the Ravens. He had 100 yards receiving in their win over Pittsburgh in Baltimore.

The Steelers will have four starters back on defense who missed all or part of that game, including three in the secondary. Maybe having everyone back will help with communication, too, which was a huge problem when the Ravens kicked their ashes.

Yeah, I'm trying to talk myself into some optimism, but it isn't working.

Edit: So much for optimism. I missed something earlier. Boswell hasn't practiced this week due to illness. For an offense that can't score in the red zone, arguably the best kicker in the league this season is essential.
