This is turning out to be a pretty shirtty start to the golf season in regards to deaths. First media members Jeff Babineau and Steve DiMeglio. Then the original Tiger Mom.

Now, Matt Kuchar's father has a heart attack while swimming at St. Bart's -- on a vacation he took his wife on to celebrate her 70th birthday.

That's one heck of a tragedy. How can that poor woman face her birthday from now on.

And can we spare any snarky jokes about Matt Kuchar. The man just lost his father in perhaps the most tragic circumstances possible.

A couple of things: a merger with LIV was being very closely scrutinized by the Biden Justice Department. I doubt there will be any such roadblocks from the Trump "Buford T." Justice Department.

And given Trump's belief that the U.S. can do a land grab in Palestine, can the TPC Gaza be far behind?

We're hoping to get to Bradenton Country Club, perhaps Sunday, for the LPGA tournament. Gwen just started getting serious about playing golf two years ago and just watching the top women play will help her confidence. Plus it's $40 and the LPGA is probably the most accessible group other than drag racing.

Tiger will play the Genesis at Torrey. I'm kinda surprised. Thought he was going to be majors only the rest of the way.

Now, can he walk 36 or 72 holes? I don't think TGL is really good prep for a PGA Tour event.

Genesis is a no-cut. Will be interesting to see him out there. I too am surprised he's playing.

Definitely agree. I just assumed he didn't think his game would be ready or that he might not be physically OK for a tournament grind after still more surgery.
