Not quite sure what they saw. Maybe when Cotchery hit the ground with his hand under the ball, they thought the ball hit the turf as well. It did move after that. It sure didn't look as if the ball hit the ground at any point and that turned out to be a huge call with the fumble for a touchdown two plays later.

Dean Blandino claiming "The ball touched the ground and slid up his body. Not enough evidence to overturn the call." I'm assuming the first bit is what the officials on the field saw?
