Week 13 college football thread: Don’t It Make My Buckeyes Blue?

Helluva game in Corvallis. Went from Oregon, 31-10, to Oregon State, 38-34 with about 5 minutes left. Ducks self-destructs. Beavers can't pass, but are ripping off long runs on every play. Ducks driving for a go-ahead score.

If Oregon State hangs on, and Washington wins tonight, how does that three-way tiebreaker between Oregon, Washington and Utah sort out for the second spot in the Pac-12 championship game?

Beavers! What a season. Nine wins. Head coach Robin Williams with a spectacular job.

Oregon State or South Carolina: Bigger surprise to look at their records and say, "Wait, that team has eight/nine wins!?"

In the P5, hard to say. In the G5, UTSA at 9-2 and dominating C-USA is pretty impressive. For that matter, so was independent UConn getting to 6-6.

That's a good question. I'm an LSU fan and I'm not sure I'd like that precedent. I'd rather TCU win out and it's a moot point.
But should it come to it, TCU's non-conference schedule is weak (at Colorado and vs. FCS school Tarleton), and the Big 12 was down this year. A bunch of B12 teams that were highly regarded at one point — Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas — have completely fallen apart. TCU's best win, should they lose next week, would be against either Kansas State or Texas which would have beaten them the second time around.
LSU's wins over Alabama and Georgia coming down the stretch would be hard to ignore if they're trying to go with the hot hand.
You won't have to deal with the precedent for too much longer, at least. These discussions soon change to 2L vs. 3L for the last at-large spot in a 12-team field.
