Week 4 college football thread: How Sooner is Now?

Why doesn't Garry Patterson have an HC job? Seriously. Take away his first year (13-2 with Patterson's players) and Dykes is 7-9.

I read somewhere recently that Jon Gruden wants to get back into college coaching. There was a 'lather 'em up' reference. Maybe satire for all I know, but..

Fool me 17 times . . .

Really a shame Vanderbilt couldn't pull off the upset. The Vandy strut on SEC Shorts would have been epic.

My gang was at that game. It's the worst I've seen Mizzou play in three years. Three missed field goals and a QB who missed too many throws.

Tigers dropped four spots in the Top 25, which seems about right.

Luther Burden is the real deal and a first-round pick next year.

Would it be wrong to go over to the football forum at Gopher Hole and start a thread saying flight tracker has Gruden's private plane heading to MSP?
I meant what I said yesterday (on the MLB thread): Minnesota's transfer QB and the Gophers pashing attack had Iowa's defense reeling at the end of the first half.

Thankfully — for us Iowa fans, anyway — the Hawkeye offensive line and Kaleb Johnson were up to the task of running over Minnesota's defense after intermission.

A solid win, a nice return to Iowa City for the pig trophy. But Ohio State will beat Iowa by at least 42 points.

I know polls don't matter but it's a choice to rank usc 16th and Michigan 23rd this week
I take it you're referring to an individual voter, since U-M is 12th and USC 13th in the overall poll.

Also interesting to those of us in the Norhwest is seeing 2-1 Boise State, which hasn't beaten any Power 4 schools, ranked at No. 25 while 4-0 Washington State is unranked with wins over Texas Tech and UW. I guess we'll see who's better on the field on Saturday night.

Yes an individual voter.

Unlike the Presidential race in September, polls DO matter in CFB in September. Notre Dame at 16? For a pedestrian win against a winless Miami?

I have no idea. But sometimes after one horrible call (the hold) that voids a TD, and the first UC penalty, you just have to wear it, even if Dykes is in his usual total-prick mode.

I couldn't see anything in any of the clips that were posted before. But, it must have been pretty bad, as I can't recall a coach being ejected for two UC flags back-to-back.
