2024-25 College Basketball Thread

Look, the ACC was absolute trash. Virginia Tech, which lost 19 games, was a middle-of-the-pack team in the league this year. But maybe, just maybe, Will Wade is a good coach and learned a few lessons from last year's ass-kicking against Gonzaga and applied them to this matchup. And maybe Kalkbrenner is just a shit matchup for an undersized Louisville team.

As for VCU, coaches always say the most important stretches of any game are the four minutes before halftime and the four minutes after halftime. BYU dominated those stretches. For VCU to beat BYU, the game needed to be played in the low 60s. Rams had no chance if BYU was going to score 80.

Watched most of the end of Drake-Mizzou, and the Wichita crowd was really good for that one.

I finally get to sit down and enjoy some of the games starting with today's mid-afternoon slate. Hoping for some decent matchups.

Can someone with knowledge of the Michigan basketball team please explain why a team with two seven footers, playing a team with a bunch of 6-7 guys, swing the ball around the perimeter 30 feet from the basket, and seemingly make an entry pass at the penalty of being hit with an electrical prod?

That was the dumbest team I've seen in a long time.

I saw Louisville yesterday. Hell, I saw Clemson yesterday.

North Carolina played in Tuesday's First Four game. Doesn't play until today. I can't remember a First Four winner getting 2 days between games.

What in the Bubba is going on here?
