Have to wonder if this is the end for Joel Embiid. Given all of the injuries from the start to this point in his career, he's had a damn good career when he's been healthy. Unfortunately he missed two seasons out the gate and now these lower body injuries are piling up again. Just seems like a case of a guy that was going to have a pretty short lifespan in the NBA.
Sixers consulting doctors, considering options for Embiid's troublesome knee
Sad to say but upon reflection, his best quality may have been his FT shooting. Bummer about his knees.Done as an effective player? Yeah, I think so. The injuries have piled up, and he's never made much of an effort to get into better shape. The situation probably isn't getting significant player.
But, done as in retiring? Nope. Under contract through 2029 with a deal that tops out at $69 million a year. He's not walking away from that.
And hey, Sixers, nice work on that whole process thing!
Ja Morant is making the change we probably all should make.

I pretty much could have written this word for word. The only time I've been on the political thread is when I fat finger clicked it.I've nuked my Twitter account and deleted TikTok. Barely glance at Facebook and haven't posted there in years.
It's been a definite improvement in my life.
I'm on Instagram and Bluesky. (Mostly follow NBA reporters on Bluesky.) Really close to nuking on Reddit. I'm still here and not likely to change that, but haven't glanced at the politics thread in weeks.
Social media is absolutely a detrimental force in our lives. I don't understand why any public figure would still be there.
Irony is that most of the ills Ja has experienced from social media have stemmed from things he's posted.Ja Morant is making the change we probably all should make.
