Arthur Smith out in ATL per Schefter overnight.
If I'm Blank, I was at Bieniemy's house when he got there.

I think it'll be a total house cleaning in Washington. If they wanted Bieniemy, they would have fired Rivera halfway through the year and given him a chance as the interim to see what they had.

Totally unsurprising, Rivera out.

Former Warriors GM tapped to help in coaching search

Yeah. Washington went 4-13, didn't win a home game after opening day, lost 13 of their last 15 and were generally non-competitive for the last two months of the season. I'm not sure there's anyone on that staff that you'd want.

I really think that they didn't want to fire Rivera mid-season because they would have been stuck with Bieniemy if he did even moderately well.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bieniemy gets no more than another OC job.

I think the odds are 50/50 that Davis does something stupid with the Raiders hire(s). He really needs to hire a GM first. I'd be fine if he kept Pierce and Champ Kelly, signed a decent veteran QB as a place holder. O'Connell isn't the answer But I fear Davis will want to make a splash, bring in another coach who wants "his kinda guys" and flip the roster for two years and get no closer to the playoffs.

As dear old dad used to say, the greatness of the Raydahs.

An Arthur fires an Arthur. That dudn't happen much in the league.
