I can't shake the feeling that it is intentional, because Snyder is enough of an asshole to take something like that into account.

The Washington Commanders shield is incorrect. Super Bowl champions are denoted by the year of their winning regular season, not the date of their Super Bowl win.

Thus 1983, 1988 and 1992 should be 1982, 1987 and 1991.
