Good Deeds....

Based on the photos from my Facebook friends who have posted their TS concert experiences, I have just one question.

Do they supply telescopes so you can actually see her?

So you've never been to a sporting event at an NFL-sized stadium?

Say what you will about professional wrestling, but Triple H and Daniel Bryan went above and beyond for a young fan with terminal cancer. Get the tissues ready if you watch this.

Triple H jobbed to the lad, nobody can say he wouldn't put anyone over! And let's not forget John Cena has done more Make A Wish requests than anyone.

Never from Row ZZZZZZZ.

I could have thrown an orange and hit the Georgia player who scored the winning TD in the "hobnail boot" game at Neyland Stadium in 2001.

If I'm in the upper deck at a football game, there are 22 different guys I can pay attention to, each numbered for my convenience, and the seats are angled to give me the best possible view of the action. If I go to a concert in that same stadium, all of that is out the window.

There are jumbotrons at most TS concerts I'd imagine, so seeing her up close is not an issue even if you're in the nosebleeds. We were literally in the second to last row and I was able to see the whole show -- by watching the jumbotron.

We also split before the end of the concert and listened to the remainder of the show as we walked to the car and then in the car as we made our way out to beat the traffic. You could hear her clear as day from outside the stadium.

My brother's in-laws live right across the street from an outdoor concert venue in Michigan, and they have a summer weekend tradition with all of their friends coming over for a potluck and listening from the front yard to whatever concert is going on.

Unless you get really lucky and lock in good seats (and can afford to pay what those cost nowadays), you're going to that TS show for the experience, the group high, and to watch it on television. Other than the sheer cost of the tickets, that's not a whole lot different from me seeing Led Zeppelin at Atlanta Stadium on the LZ 4 tour. I was there, I took it all in. First time I saw a couple screwing in the infield, it was a wild event, lots of craziness going on.

The sound was awful. That was a really bad stadium for concert sound. Page would hit a power chord, I'd hear it, then I'd hear the echo a second later. Disconcerting as all heck. I was on the field, but could not get close enough to see much.

But I can say now that I saw them on the LZ IV tour, and it's the truth, so there's that. At least these kids get great sound and can watch her on a humongous screen, and get to remember that - and have the "I was there" cred and a ticket stub.

That reminded me of this story about Ted Nugent playing in Kansas City years ago, and the city got noise complaints from 18 miles away.
