But she has no more idea than you or I do (her being a virologist gives her no special knowledge about something that none of us know) about what they had in their collection BEYOND what she is personally familiar with. ... or if they were working on a Sars-CoV-2 virus that she knew nothing about, which was serial passaged in their labs into what eventually leaked (if that is how it happened).

She can just say, "As far as I know, they weren't working on a Sars-CoV-2 virus there." Which gives her as much insight as you have. She wasn't in that lab.

She acknowledges that. ... and then just moves on like it's not the main point, and goes on to tweet over and over again about work that SHE KNOWS they were doing in that lab. ... creating a deatailed argument about how it's not consistent with the virus that caused the pandemic, and trying to take people back to the things that are consistent with it having come from nature.

But nobody knows precisely what they were working on in that institute, including her. ... you can't even rely on her possibly knowing some of the scientists in that lab, because the Chinese made them disappear from the outside world in 2020.

I have an old buddy who lives in Portland. He and his wife flew to Orlando to visit friends and family and promptly caught Corona after years of successfully avoiding it. On their vacation yet.

My SiL just got Covid after vacation. My wife had a sore throat, but tested negative.

Got the new COVID vaccine along with the flu shot last week. Moderna for the COVID shot.

Same as always with me, had sweats/chills for a few hours. This time the side effects were on about a 24-hour delay. Nothing too bad tho.

COVID cases have been pretty significant in my area in late summer/fall. Not like it was a few years ago, but lots of cases among people I know.

Somehow, knock wood, I've still never had it.

I got the first shingles vaccine in July and it knocked me for a loop. Have to get the second one and scheduled it for Nov. 5 and took the 6th off knowing a) I'll probably get knocked out again and b) likely up all night and into the morning watching election returns.

Ah, I've heard the shingles shot(s) can be doozies. I'm getting them later this year or early next.
