I cannot rec "Wish You Were Here" strongly enough. "Animals" is ok, I saw them on that tour too, but WYWH is probably my favorite Floyd.

"Wish You Were Here" is basically the band's tribute to Syd Barrett, who (TIL) died in 2006.

To me this was the best thing the Blues Brothers did, on their debut at least. Great stuff from Belushi, Aykroyd and that killer band:

To me, WYWH was their last really great work.

"Obscured by Clouds" was a fine run-up to "Dark Side." This track was their opener when they played Madison, Wis., in 1973.

I saw the "Dark Side", "Animals", and "WYWH" tours in Atlanta. "Mission Bell" years later in Birmingham.

This apparently was a mashive song in 2011 but I never heard it then. I was knee-deep in working and playing hard.

Love the song. Love when she belts out the end of her part.

Video has well over 2 billion views. Hadn't seen it till now.
