It also might have been a forward lateral.

I can't imagine a better back-to-back game plan than the NFCCG and Super Bowl wins by the Giants. The 49ers were the greatest three-peat threat in the Super Bowl era.
I'll just remind you that the Cowboys won 3 of 4, and the one they didn't win, they were a missed PI call on Deion from having a good chance to come all the way back and beat SF.
