Your absolute, favorite song

Way too many songs to choose from, but I will say that, just before I kicked off our daylong "Rainier to Ruston" road race relay earlier this summer, I played "Feelin' Stronger Every Day" by Chicago to give me a positive song in my head for my first 4.4-mile leg of the relay. (I don't wear earbuds or headphones while I jog).

Chicago is my favorite band, so one of their songs should be my favorite. Very tough decision. I usually have ID'd "Beginnings" mostly because of the horn solos during the jam segment. "I'm a Man" is also in the top 3 along with "Feelin' Stronger Every Day." If I had to choose ...... uh, I don't have to choose.

All three of those are winners — and two were recorded right out of the gate, on their first album.

My favorite Chicago song, Karaoke division, is "Saturday in the Park" because my vocal range is similar to Bobby Lamm's. Peter Cetera? No can do. And Terry Kath's is a bit too low and way too soulful.

Ooops. Add "25 or 6 to 4" to make it a Top 4 for me. I doesn't matter if Terry Kath can sing as long as he has his guitar.
