fun fact: to give a dog an iv when they are dehydrated, they inject the fluid between their shoulders.

makes them look like they have half a football between their shoulders.

do dogs have shoulders? is that a thing you call them?
I've had several cats that lived to 20 years old, one of whom developed kidney failure late in life. For awhile before he died, he required regular injections of what they call subcutaneous fluids, which were administered at home by — you guessed it — me. As noted by MH , such injections are made into the loose skin of the back/neck area, and creates an odd bulge until the fluid is absorbed.

Also, I believe dogs do, in fact, have shoulders.

When a cat's kidneys go it's over. THat is the feline's Achilles heel.

A friend of mine once administered insulin to her cat daily, and that cat extended its life by a fair two or three years.

Slice it the wide way. Sauté some pineapple rings on a griddle on the stove top; remove them from the heat and cook the Spam on the same griddle and brush some teriyaki sauce on the Spam while you're cooking it. Serve on burger buns with spring mix; side with macaroni salad.

Aloha, bruddah.
