2023 College Football Coaching Carousel thread

It's a good thing Schwarzenegger, Schnellenberger and Steinbrenner were doing their thing when columns were a little over 12 picas instead of the current 9ish.

My high school alumni association (which isn't in Hawaii) is all excited that Hawaii has brought in two new assistant coaches. Dan Morrison ('67) and Dennis Thurman ('74) attended my high school.

Thurman, a star DB for the Cowboys, has been an NFL D-Coor twice. Last season, he was quality control director for Deion Sanders at Colorado.

Morrison coached three Hawaii star QBs under Coach June Jones. He went with Jones to SMU and wound up as interim coach when Jones was fired during a season. His most recent coaching job was with USA Football (whatever that is) under head coach Dan Hawkins.

Oh, as for recruiting, Morrison is 76 and Thurman is 67. I'm sure they'll be thrilled to try to entice 17-year-olds to go to that college.

Never should've been fired at Navy. Chet Gladchuk is a fool.

His last three seasons they won a total of 10 games. They also had a three-win season in 2018. Even at a place like Navy, and even with the great run he'd had there, that's not going to cut it.

Not on my bingo card for today.

Question: What will the letters GAC (usually Great American Conference) stand for when Glanville has the urge to chew out some small-town banker who's moonlighting as a Division II football official?
