2024-25 College Basketball Thread

It just gets dizzying after awhile.

Just about everybody you would move 1 and 2 below laid eggs of their own recently.

Ten days ago I thought Tennessee was stumbling toward an 8-10 SEC record because they could not make a basket.

In re: Gators, I'm not sure if this answers anything, but one of their Q1 wins appears to have been reclashified as a Q2 and one of their Q3 wins fell into Q4.

VCU had the same issue. Beat Dayton on the road for a Q1 win. But then Dayton fell to 76 in the NET so it was a Q2 win. Now the Flyers are back at 75 so its a Q1 win again. It's dumb.

I know it doesn't matter but stuff like this is hilarious

Guy dropped Marquette from 7 to 16 for losing twice, but didn't move St. John's one spot from 20th for beating Marquette, and UConn, which he had 22 and then dropped to 25

Auburn No. 1. Alabama No. 2. Armageddon in T-Town with a tipoff Saturday at … 3 pm.

I will never understand how game schedules are engraved in granite for this sport.

The rematch on March 8 is at 1 pm Central.

I don't want it to be football where plans get changed on six days notice. And I understand not shuffling the deck for a weeknight. But it has been pretty obvious since Thanksgiving weekend that these two teams were tracking towards excellent seasons. A little judicious rethinking was in order.

Hard to think of a college bb game as Armageddon when it could be the first of three (and possibly four) meetings between the teams in eight weeks.

There is a non-zero chance we all die down here from the toxic fallout, which should bring good cheer to the other 14 schools.

Why? You'll watch it anyway.

The world will end the moment a Mizzou player releases a shot to win the NCAA tourney, like The Sopranos, just cut to black.

THATS your Mizzou fan fatalism.
