"Knowing" sucks

I watched this thing last night, and I had to post because it is the WORST movie I have ever seen. No redeeming qualities. Nick Cage must have had a gun to his head when he made this thing. At least I hope so, because from now on he is suspect. Roger Ebert must have been high on ether when he wrote a decent review of this junk.

Do yourselves a favor: Instead of renting and watching this movie, spend two hours sticking needles in your eyes.

saw this several months ago and while it didn't exactly leave me with lasting memories, i'm pretty sure it was better than sticking needles in my eyes. of course i've never stuck needles in my eyes so i'm just ashuming.

I thought the previews looked awesome, but I just wasn't sure, so to save myself the money I just went to themoviespoiler.com to find out the ending. I was really, really glad I didn't spend the money after I found out how it ended.

I just didn't understand it at all. It started off intriguing and then these ghosts and creatures popped in and that's when I shut it off and went to bed.

The movie was decent until the "twist." When that was revealed I was as close to walking out of a movie as I've ever been.

Cage has been on a really bad roll lately, with the exception of the National Treasure movies, he hasn't had a hit or a critical fave since when? Leaving Vegas? The Bruckheimer films? It doesn't seem he's getting movies with big directors and the movies he does get seem to have him as the only A-lister. When was the last Oscar-bait December release or Summer blockbuster he's had?
Don't know what the guy does for a "comeback."

Lord of War is the last well-reviewed one I can think of, and that's been several years.

Cage has been doing lots of fantasy/sci fi/comic book stuff.
Or stuff that he just really likes and doesn't care what the critics think.
I saw something called "Next" that he was in and while I haven't seen "Knowing" I'd wager all the money in my pocket that "Knowing" is the better movie.
