NFL conference championship Sunday

I want Chad freakin' Henne to pull a Foles and lead KC to win the whole damm thing.

Not championship-related, but I saw today Rodgers can earn $58 million if he plays next year. How in the heck can anyone ever turn that kind of money down? $58 freaking million for 17 games. You should be thrown in jail for not playing.

Well, he took ayahuasca, so money is just a concern for earthlings, not his insufferable ass.

because he's already made $305 million not counting endorsements?

If Rogers is in a position to need, or even really notice, that salary for next year, he's got problems.

Considering that (a) after taxes/agent fees/etc. it would be considerably less than $58 million, (b) he would be putting himself at a non-zero risk of debilitating injury or decreased quality of the rest of his life every time he steps on the field, and (c) from a distance he appears to be a legitimately weird and unhappy person, it would be easy for me to see him turning it down.

John Hussey (NFC) and Ron Torbert (AFC) are Sunday's white hats. Torbert worked last year's Super Bowl.
