Running 2022-23 NCAA Basketball Thread

A question for the Hoosiers out there.

I graduated from IU in 1984, the year the Colts moved, and have been back to Bloomington only once. Prior to the Colts moving the sports that dominated fan interest was college basketball. The Pacers were an afterthought.

Currently how much interest is there in IU basketball in the Indianapolis area. I would guess the Colts are on top. Is there more interest in the Pacers or college basketball?

There were also Friday night high school basketball games shown on the independent television station in Indianapolis and when the state basketball tournaments brackets were announced there was a bracket analysis show. Does that kind of interest still exist in high school ball?

I'm in Indianapolis, an IU grad and basketball season ticket holder. There's plenty of IU interest here, especially with Woodson and rumblings that year could be pretty darned good with Jackson-Davis coming back. Pacers had the worst attendance in the NBA last year and are an afterthought again. Colts are still king but of course it's different now that they're wandering in the QB wilderness.

I can't really speak for high school basketball, I'm not a native and my daughter's high school isn't very good so I have no rooting interests that would educate me. But there are plenty of older fans still bitching about clash basketball, 25 years later.

First Cal moves the Blue-White game to Pikeville to raise money for flood relief and then does this. Damnit, don't make me like him.

Good for him, nice move.

bet he could write a check for more than game would raise and he'd never miss a nickel. OTOH, it's possible he did write that check and not tell anyone. And now I'll give him the benefit of that doubt.

Some of the responses on Twitter are why I hate Twitter.
