Can't they just do a show of hands in North Dakota?
More like a show of mittens.

-- Candidates for POTUS must release all tax returns they have ever filed in their lifetime.
Here's my shoebox of receipts. Don't mind the mustard stain on that one.
I have a question about abortions that I can probably only ask on this thread.
I read about states various efforts to run abortion providers out of their states.
But 39% of abortions are now done by medication. If abortion is outlawed in Louisiana, or wherever, what is there to stop some entrepreneur from setting up shop in a state such as New York where abortions are legal and writing prescriptions off an 800 number. Or if not from New York then from a Canadian pharmacy? Aren't people doing that for Viagra now? What could Louisiana, or any other state, do to stop these transactions.
I think mandatory retirement for Supreme Court Justices at 80 is a good idea. If the Catholic Church forces Cardinals to retire at 80 Supreme Court Justices can also.
Bernie has earned his one on one shot with Biden, his donors and volunteers have earned the opportunity to lay out his philosophy side by side. I don't think it will make much of a difference next week, but the jumbled nature of previous debates have somewhat muted their differing views. I do figure Biden will have to come up with something from Bernie's menu to "adopt" in order for a smooth exit for Sanders. Biden favors negotiation of drug prices, a public option - make the point that as long as everyone is covered, does it really make a difference whether it comes from taxes or insurance? Biden favors public financing for campaigns, he favors a financial transaction tax. He supports the Green New Deal. They both have student loan forgiveness plans, Biden's is more targeted.
Seriously, he's a lot closer to Sanders than Sanders would probably want to acknowledge.
Washington votes by mail and as long as a ballot has an election day postmark it counts. So there are still outstanding ballots. Same deal in California. Oregon is a vote by mail state, but ballots are due back by Election Day. Makes for a quick election night, usually done in two hours. What the heck is Washington doing? They still only have 67% of the vote counted, and it is within a couple of tenths. If Biden sneaks out a win, that would have been nice info prior to Bernie's presser.
