You may see a different Ohio governor run: the current one Mike DeWine. He is supposedly considering a run.

He would do worse than Kasich in '16, I think.

Gonna let myself take a break from thinking about the 2024 race until all the votes from THIS election are actually counted and the new Congress is actually sworn in.

It will never happen, but would love for John Kasich to run again.

We should have a tournament to run opposite the World Cup every four years called the Kasich Cup. The winner is the longshot Republican presidential candidate who gets about 2 percent in the primaries but stubbornly sticks it out until Super Tuesday or beyond; every Democrat swears up and down they would vote for them; and in reality no Democrat would ever vote for them in a million years.
John Kasich is the Brazil of this tournament, but Liz Cheney looks like she could easily take it over for the next couple of cycles.

John McCain was the Hall of Famer. Everybody loved him when he was maverickly criticizing GOPers (but not a candidate). All changed in 2008.

Kasich was the last (R) I voted for. I still think he would have been a good president. Then, the ship show happened.

John McCain ran up against a generational figure in Obama, nominated Sarah Palin and pulled that stupid campaign suspension stunt. And McCain was never a long shot anything.

Gaslighting is awesome.
