Thrown out of a game for stealing a phone

The guy apparently heard it pinging in your pocket but you didn't. I'm sorry, but no one pays that much attention to a high school game.

Wonder if there's a surveillance camera in what I ashume was a press box. I'd pay to watch that footage.

I keep my phone on vibrate and have missed calls when it's been in my pocket.

But to have someone single you out and point to a specific pocket to find the phone, that pretty much makes you look like a thief and liar.

Perhaps, though, it's a conspiracy. Everyone in the pressbox met secretly before the game and decided to put all the phones near each other. And someone dropped a phone in your pocket, like a Bourne-movie situation at the Gard du Fabricacion meeting, and then they unhatched the scheme to get you out.

Attention-seeker. You always concoct these posts where something weird happened to you. Fiction writing might be your game.
You should always keep your phone in the same pocket. So if you tried to put it there and there was one there already, oops.
I don't believe there were a lot of phones on a counter. Is it like checking your guns at the door?
You're a fake and everybody here knows it.

Tell me exactly what you think I did.

I think you swiped a candlestick at the concession stand from Professor Plum and were determined to create mayhem in the pressbox. Then the phone conspiracy thwarted your plans and you were cast out.

Hell, that's as good a tale as your original one.

On other words I'm a thief and a liar?

My .02 because of inflation and all that:

I haven't been in a press box in a very long time, but some of the things I participate in (at least until the next spike, ARGHHH!) are hosted by people who ask everyone to put their phones in a box or basket or in our purses in another room while we're knitting, talking about books, in Bible study, or whatever old lady thing we're doing. The box or basket is a good idea for people who may be called by loved ones so we can get to our phones quickly. I have a Samsung Galaxy in a black Otter Box. It seems like half the phones are some variation of that and I have to admit I find my phone when it rings or someone turns it on and starts cooing over my cat's picture. Otherwise it could be hard to just pick it out of the lineup of Samsungs in Otter Boxes.

Gratuitous post of my cat's picture: keety.jpg

Why is Jimmy Fallon trying to roll a big ball over himself? Not that I mind, but....

So it was your cat! What's your cat got against @Smallpotatoes?

Marigold can be shady. She gets away with it because she's cute.

My point was I could see someone mistaking one very basic phone for another one. Ah dunno. I wouldn't lay mine in a pile of phones in a press box, but having not been in one in a while, there may some reason people do it now.
