Music Thread (post a song)

Earlier reference to solo McCartney on another thread was long past, so I thought I'd post this Sir Paul ditty with obvious Kraftwerk nods off McCartney II (the "Coming Up" album sans Wings):

"Evidence Of Autumn" - Genesis

It was the B-side of the "Misunderstanding" single off of "Duke" in the UK (and better than "Misunderstanding" ... not even close). Come to think of it, the B-sides on the versions in the US ("Behind The Lines") and the Netherlands ("Duchess") are better, too.

I only discovered this awesome track recently. So, the guitarist from Kansas released a solo album in 1980, but since he doesn't really sing, he had several guest vocalists, including Ronnie James Dio! This track contains a great performance from Dio.

Not posting a song, but just came to the realization that the opening bash lines from Peggy Lee's "Fever" and "How Many More Times" by Zeppelin are essentially identical. I've read a lot about Zep, but don't think this has ever been discussed. Not surprising, since How Many is a mashup of r&b clashics.

Definitely sounds like the Kansas of that era, notwithstanding Dio on vocals.

This aircheck from the summer of 1988 shows just how crap pop music was at the time in retrospect.

Even got an unsolicited rickroll.

I know we all love Peart and Grohl and Bonham and Moon and Hawkins, but I still think "Highway to Hell" is the best rock 'n' roll drum song ever. So simple, yet so ominous.
