2024 college football offseason thread

I hope those Ohio St. kids didn't spend too much time studying O'Brien's playbook. Or maybe he just showed a film strip at their get acquainted meeting like any good substitute teacher.
Has O'Brien been named by BC yet? I presume that's the reason the Ohio State gig was vacant again.

Chip to OSU OC goes with O'Brien to BC, I assume. They're complete morons if they don't hire him. Seems possible, based on what I hear 'round here

UCLA football has one major problem that no recent coach has been able to solve and probably no future coach will resolve: It's not USC.

Kelly wanted out so badly he took an OC job, but granted at a school that loves football. UCLA doesn't care about football for the most part.

Rick Neuheisel was supposedly the answer then Jim Mora Jr. then Kelly.

The Bruins had Jedd Fisch as interim coach and probably wish they had him back.

Unfortunately, UCLA will still have a USC problem since it's joining the Big 18. It might well have the same problem even if it went independent, which it would never do under its statewide university system.

UCLA would never had thought about joining the Big 18 if USC wasn't driving the engine.

Hey, Ryan, I'm just gonna wait here and call some plays for you till they can you for not winning the title next season.

I have to wonder how a guy as tightly wired, focused, and on time as Saban is will deal with all the delays, sitting around waiting, and various bullshirt.

I feel like the schedule will likely be regimented enough. I don't know much about it, but I'd imagine they're pretty well scripted with planning meetings, travel days, rehearsals, etc.

Could've been anything, even a student recruitment visit.

Sounds like the pilot and co-pilot died and the 3 passengers survived.

He will be the highest paid coordinator (Offensive or Defensive) in the land for a year….2 tops.
The steps that some of these guys take to get these jobs just boggles the mind.
