NFL Week 11 thread -- scramble up some Eggs Manske

Maybe it was the stories I'd read or watched about how Rosen was a can't miss guy, another QB with swagger who could back it up - and I was disappointed his stay in Zona got cut short when they drafted Murray - but dang - the guy just doesn't have it and I'll never believe another draft analysis of any QB again. It may end up being true - but these scouts are just guessing. Yes, obviously - the team around them makes a big impact - and Rosen's been on crap teams ever since he graduated - but he doesn't show anything that would lead you think he had skills.
Ryan Leaf was clearly before your time.

Ability to overcome adversity is an underrated skill set in an NFL qb.

And dang - with all the people NBC throws into their pre-game show - none of them move the needle. They really need a Barkley. It's quite fitting that their "on-site" set-up is sponsored by Applebees.

Oh - and as bad as Gruden's e-mails were - and they were awful - what he's done to the Raiders during his reign is worse. That's a total re-build. You have to move Carr because he's not going win a SB in Vegas at his age and they could probably get some decent draft capital from one of the many teams looking for qbs next year. Use Mariota until you find the next guy.

Can't understand how you don't let an 17-year quarterback call his own plays at a much faster pace.

edit: that was some horrid forking playcalling by the Steelers.

Outside of "that's how it's always worked"?

I've never understood how TV networks operate like the local tire shop when it comes to hiring decisions. You really don't see that in major newspapers. Bush daughter, Chelsea Clinton, Collinsworth's kid, Doocey's kid (who really isn't a bad reporter - but how he got there...), Russert's kid, etc.

How could NBC think Collinsworth is so important they had to hire his kid
He's awful
It's the way of the NFL. I watched the announcers during the Vikings Packers game praise Vikings OC Klint Kubiak, son of Gary, by comparing him to Scott Turner, son of Norv, shockingly without mentioning the word nepotism. Of course, they failed to mention Vikings co-DC Adam Zimmer, son of Mike.
