I'm going to expose my ignorance here, but who's the actor/narrator? Tremendous.

Kerwin Thompson. He's a veteran stage actor. I don't think he has any connection to UAB beyond this video. I got curious too and looked him up. Turns out I've seen one of his stage performances about six years ago and didn't make the connection. It was good though.

He's an actor out of Atlanta. So far as I know he has no connection with the program, although he may have and I just don't know it. Sam Miller has been doing ads for the UAB Athletic Dept. over the last few years, he put the ad together and cast it. He used to be in the Athletic Dept at UAB, ashociate AD or in sports information, something like that. He left, started a marketing firm. He's also an adjunct prof of marketing at UAB now. One of the good guys. He really hit a home run with that one, tremendous is a good word.

I miss the time when college rings opening day meant games on in the morning and early afternoon. I understand why it doesn't really make sense to do, but I enjoyed it.
