Hi - I can't determine whether I like or loathe this. I lean more toward "like" - I suppose it's what the song would have sounded like, had it been released in the same era as Interpol.

Here's a song that I hate to admit I like, and it's for the same reason -- I remember hearing it (a lot) on the radio at the trading post at Boy Scout summer camp:

Hi - I can't determine whether I like or loathe this. I lean more toward "like" - I suppose it's what the song would have sounded like, had it been released in the same era as Interpol.
I never realized this until now; the strength of Journey is how clearly you can hear each instrument in the song. Journey was great at riffs. From the lead guitar to the bash to the keyboards, each one is so distinctive in their music. shipty music has the bashist hitting the same notes 10-12 times in a row, doing an odd note, then back to 10-12 notes.
Some people might hate Journey, but their music isn't shipty.
Can't believe nobody, including me, thought of this
